I. Responsibilities:
The responsibility of the Shipper is to ensure accurate and timely shipping of customer orders and all other outbound shipments
Responsibilities include:
Prioritize and accurately process customers orders based on shipment deadlines and carrier cut-offs Maintain a clean and safe work environment Handle customer and courier requirements in a professional manner Assist with the year - end inventory count Other duties assignments as assigned by the Shipping Supervisor
Quality:
Work in accordance with the Company Quality System (Quality Policy and Quality Procedures) to meet customer requirements and eliminate non-conforming products and services.
II. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum High School Diploma 1-2 years experience in a fast paced shipping environment Experience in packaging fragile products Basic knowledge of Windows applications Demonstrate good verbal/written communication, organizational skill and flexibility in dealing with a variety of tasks Detail oriented Forklift license required (will train) Must be in good physical condition and able to stand for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 50 lbs Willingness to work overtime as needed with little or no advance notice.
