Job Description Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Solutions Developers are engineering professionals with strong programming skills and proven aptitude for business and client interaction. Successful candidates must be comfortable communicating with client managers and production operators about their manufacturing systems, how the processes work and identifying areas for improvement related to the business and industry challenges today. Successful applicants will be involved in the entire cycle of the MES Solutions involving functional specification, detailed design, PLC and ERP system communication interface development, MES systems development, custom software development, simulation testing, implementation and commissioning. This position will involve an average of 30% travel over the course of a year.
MES Solutions Developer Requirements for MES Solutions Developer includes: Preference will be given to candidates with solid knowledge and/or experience in: Understanding Industrial Environments , Engineering and Production Processes Ability to glean Production Metrics Business Impetus from customer interactions Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Programming skill using .Net framework (C# or equivalent) Aptitude/experience with alternate graphical programming environments Understanding of automation systems involving PLCs Previous experience with ERP systems or B2MML is an asset.
