RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
Work with key functional stakeholders to gather and analyze the cross-functional process and tooling requirements to support the development of new handhelds, especially with respect to project management of these projects
Work with affected stakeholders to identify and implement these business process improvements and/or tooling improvements
Create and manage project deliverables throughout the project lifecycle such as use cases, process maps, requirements specifications, project plans, and status updates
In summary, gather a broad knowledge of internal systems already in place, determine new opportunities for improvement, and project management them to completion.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Direct experience with RIM's handheld development processes
Experience with systems analysis and demonstrated knowledge and experience in requirements gathering and development
Experience managing projects while ensuring the competing needs and expectations of large stakeholder groups are managed
Proven ability to establish and maintain end user relationships for systems development and support
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy and work in a fast-paced team environment
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline such as Computer Science or Software Engineering
8 or more years experience with full life cycle development of software systems
