The Project Manager, In-Plant Maintenance is responsible for supporting and growing the in-plant maintenance business with our existing clients. This will be executed by providing direction as well as direct involvement in the area of overall management and administration of the Prime Contract, including overseeing the internal and external business practices as they relate to the suite of projects being serviced by Industrial Services with the objective of identifying and mitigating business risks.
Responsibilities
Contributes to the development and documentation of the overall project execution strategy and procedures in conjunction with the General Manager – Maintenance and the Client’s site management team
Inform and involve General Manager – Maintenance and Ledcor senior company leadership to support client relations and to pursue business development opportunities
Evaluates compliance with business and accounting procedures, providing recommendations where required, to ensure client standards are met or exceeded as well as Ledcor standards met or exceeded.
Provides mentorship of project team members to enable them to step forward and assume temporary leadership roles within the project group for absence and vacation coverage.
Personal accountability for location hiring in compliance with Ledcor HR/LR established practices and processes
Personal accountability for location QA performance metrics
Oversee project bonding and insurance requirements by validating with appropriate sources in conjunction with the General Manager - Maintenance, Business Operations leaders and the clients site management team
Oversee’s project accounting staff by assessing compliance with internal corporate requirements and client requirements by ensuring an “audit ready” set of records are available for internal or external use. Monthly reporting of the financial status of the site is the responsibility of this position.

Ensuring HSE compliance with applicable regulations, Client H&S requirements, and Ledcor’s safety Program. Demonstrated diligence to safety and quality requirements.
May perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role
Experience in a maintenance/shutdown/live plant environment considered an asset
Engineering Degree, Technical Diploma, or Trade Certification
Demonstrated and thorough understanding of Prime Contract agreements as well as terms and contractual obligations
Demonstrated independence in decision making and the ability to work in a stressful environment
Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
Demonstrated management skills, including the ability to motivate others, the ability to negotiate both with employees and the client, the ability to effectively manage difficult situations with a minimum of support and have a personal strength in self-assessment (knowing when and how to effectively seek out appropriate assistance)
