OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
The Mayor's office is searching for an experienced, energetic, detail-oriented communications professional to join the team and provide strategic communications expertise. You will work closely with the Director of Communications providing advice and strategic guidance to the Mayor and his office in effectively communicating important information to the public regarding the business of The City of Winnipeg, managing emerging issues, as well as offering communications and media relations support.
Using your expertise and knowledge of new media, you will employ social networking tools in addition to other communication media for effective external and internal communications.
You will need a background in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field, combined with appropriate experience in strategic communications policies, programs and processes.
