Under the direction of the Clinic Operations Manager/Assistant Manager, charge nurse, or designate, performs assigned duties to assist in the collection of blood and apheresis blood components as well as other related functions within the Clinic Operations Department.
Assists in preparation and dismantling of clinic area.
Under the supervision of a charge nurse or Clinic Operations Manager/Assistant Manager, performs duties according to CBS standard operating procedures.
Participates on work related projects.
Maintains safe work practices.
Completion of secondary education.
Previous work experience with the public, particularly in a health care environment, is an asset.
Experience in use of automated office equipment an asset
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, donors, and the public
Ability to learn technical tasks related to blood collection.
Ability to take direction from the charge nurse and carry out duties as assigned.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job.
