Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working with the EPC contractor, project engineers and area construction managers, the senior civil/structural engineer is responsible for ensuring the integrity of all civil/structural designs for the VAULT programme. He/she is accountable for leading the civil/structural design reviews, follow-up and field execution to assure that all applicable engineering and technical requirements of the projects are met.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Identify areas of opportunities for design optimization
Apply engineering knowledge, skills, tools, experience, and techniques to project activities to meet or exceed stakeholder needs, objectives, and expectations.
Acts as key interface between the EPC contractor, technical groups and Agrium for all civil/structural engineering design matters
Provide civil/structural constructability input and leadership through design.
Provide technical support based on sound engineering principles and recognized engineering, industry and Agrium standards.
