Job Requirements:
Education / Experience:
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with at least 7 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent (e.g. BS with 10 yrs; PhD with 4 yrs)
  • At least 3 years in leadership role in HiTech industry with direct responsibility for minimum 5 staff members
Skills requirements:
  • Proven track record of leadership in hiTech industry
  • Able to manage a team of highly-skilled engineers and technologists
  • Excellent motivation, conflict resolution and mentoring skills
  • Excellent task prioritization and planning skills
  • Solid knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle, Test Methodologies and metrics gathering
  • Solid knowledge of PC Graphics and related technologies (3D Graphics, Multimedia, Compute)
  • Solid knowledge of Graphics Device Driver architecture, core components, interfaces
  • Solid knowledge of PC Platform Architecture
  • Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux based Operating Systems
  • Solid understanding of Graphics Device and Driver Development Lifecycle including all phases from concept to certification / customer enablement
  • Up-to-date on emerging technologies, PC and Graphics industry trends, futures, inflection points
  • Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Able to operate independently with little supervision
Core Responsibilities:
  • Manage a medium-size team of highly-skilled SW QA professionals responsible for validation of complex graphics technology projects
  • Responsible for team building, performance evaluations and skills / career development planning
  • Responsible for long – medium term resource planning for the team
  • Responsible for team budget and inventory planning
  • Responsible for development of comprehensive forward looking resource utilization strategy for the team
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and deliver measurable results for better customer satisfaction, quality, efficiency, time-to-market
  • Responsible for development and deployment of a comprehensive skills development plan for the team
  • Collaborate with diverse engineering, marketing and customer support organizations on strategic project planning, cross-team initiatives etc.
