Exceptional written and oral communication are a must
Minimum of Grade 12 plus a specialized course in business administration or marketing or equivalent work-related experience.
Minimum of one (1) year experience.
Strong computer knowledge, including MS Office (Word and Excel).
Website Content Management and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) experience are not required but considered assets.
Exceptional customer service skills that are supported by strong oral communication skills.
Excellent time management and organization skills.
Develops internal communication pieces, such as, newsletters, e-mail communications, and websites
Assists in planning of look and feel, content, and distribution; develops editorial line up and theme to align with overall company objectives
Identifies subject matter experts or content owners and solicits information in order to produce first drafts of copy.
Writes, edits, revises and obtains approval for copy; designs the layout and provides direction to the graphic artist; sources images for inclusion.
Writes communications for publication on the web or in print; communicates with the originator of the project to fully understand the requirements; collects information as required.
Writes a draft; gains appropriate theme and content approval within the marketing department; receives comments from the originator and revises the draft as required.
Provides advice and input on executing communications around various projects and tactics.
