In this hybrid position, the Government Solutions Manager will perform multiple functions in support of the Desire2Learn's Government vertical strategy.
The incumbent will guide the sales efforts and develop opportunities in the Washington DC Capitol District area. Beyond serving as a sales representative, the incumbent will work directly with the Desire2Learn Information Technology (IT) professionals and guide the efforts for system certification (i.e. DIACAP, FISMA, etc.). Finally, the incumbent will represent Desire2Learn as the capitol region IT system administrator in support of U. S. Department of Defense (DoD) DIACAP certification requirements.
Work remotely from the Washington DC capitol region
Be the project lead and subject matter expert on DIACAP certification
Advise Desire2Learn's IT professionals to ensure software and hardware requirements are met to meet DIACAP, FISMA and other unique organizational IT system requirements in support of DoD client operations
Serve as the employee with Secret Clearance and a government issued Common Access Card (CAAC) that will conduct IT administration of U.S. based servers located at Carpathia facilities to meet IAW DIACAP requirements
Under the guidance of the Sr. Manager, Government Sales, manage the Federal and Department of Defense sales pipeline generated by leads in the Washington DC capitol region
Work Experience Recommendations:
Experience working with U. S. Government organizations (Military and Civilian)
Extensive DoD DIACAP IT System Certification experience
IT systems engineering and/or network administration experience is required
Prior software sales experience is preferred
Experience with product sales
Must be a U. S. Citizen
Must have U. S. Government Security Clearance (Secret Minimum)
Education Recommendations:
Associates or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
