Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Process Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production during the shift.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Monitoring/operating equipment and associated systems within standard operating conditions and limits.
Working at our dynamic, expanding operating facility, you will have the opportunity for progression.
Qualifications of the position include:
A minimum of a 3rd Class Boiler's Branch certificate is required. 5 years related experience would be an asset;
Preference will be given to those with a 2nd Class Boiler's Branch certificate;
Strong interpersonal skills;
Ability to effectively use computer applications related to the position and duties;
Must be motivated and able to work in a team environment, exhibit strong decision making and problem solving skills, and have sound written and verbal communication skills;
Previous industrial experience in a fertilizer, manufacturing, gas plant or refinery is preferred.
Working Conditions:
Twelve hour shifts over a 35 day rotation with 3 weekends off in the 5 week period;
Work at heights and confined spaces;
Follow safe work procedures and ensure all personnel comply.
Compensation:
Base hourly salary plus premium for 1st and 2nd class certification;
Increases based on progression through field and panel units;
Company incentive plan;
Flexible medical and dental benefits;
Ongoing internal and external training opportunities.
Carseland Nitrogen Operations (CNO) is located about 50 kilometres or 25 minutes southeast of Calgary and employs approximately 160 people. This world class facilities location provides the amenities of a major city while being close to mountain parks and recreation areas.
