The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Spa Operations Manager in maintaining a competent and motivated team, creating a learning environment to maximize productivity, skill development and staff retention.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the Concierge and Spa Attendants on duty, as well as the Aesthetic, Massage and Hair Salon Departments
  • Monitors staff performance and provides coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action for staff when required
  • Maintains and monitors weekly work schedules for all Spa areas
  • Exercises yield management duties on a daily basis regarding appointment bookings and work schedules
  • Manages and reports inventory monthly
  • Orders operating supplies, retail and professional products, and necessary equipment
  • Assists in sales blitzes and trade shows
  • Tracks Spa group statistics
  • Enters client contact information into SpaSoft database
  • Assists in answering reception phones and booking spa service reservations
  • Assists other team members in ensuring that each client has a seamless and enjoyable spa experience

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in hospitality/Spa environment
  • Minimum 2 years direct sales experience an asset
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Willing and able to provide exceptional customer service, with the ability to make decisions while remaining positive and flexible
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • A "lead by example" attitude is required
