Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephone calls, record and relay information
  • Manage electronic document filling and organising within the electronic medical records (EMR) system
  • Manage incoming & outgoing electronic faxes
  • Greet Patients and input demographics
  • Manage electronic calendars and schedules within EMR
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail
  • Data entry and preparation of documents using EMR and Microsoft office
  • Other related administrative tasks, as required

Professional Requirements / Education and Experience:

  • College Diploma in Medical Office Administration or equivalent administrative work experience
  • Experience working in a medical office using an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system

Knowledge:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
  • OHIP billing experience an asset.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new industry specific computer software programs, experience using Accuro EMR is an asset
  • Medical terminology, specifically related to Rheumatology is an asset

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a pleasant and professional manner, in person and over the phone
  • Strong computer skills are a must.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality with the highest standard of integrity, security and discretion in handling results and patient information

Full time, Mon - Fri Only, Permanent Position
