We are looking for a new member of our team. You need to be comfortable with animals and dealing with the public. We will train. Applicants must be willing to work days, weekends, nights, holidays, on call, etc....Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or assisted lifting of large breed dogs. The position will include duties of enforcing the current dog bylaw, dispatching, animal care, and building cleaning. Some duties will be cleaning kennels, feeding, and administering meidcation for the animals. Research and investigate animal bylaw complaints. Patrolling local parks, responding to stray animals complaints. Impounding stray animals. Transporting animals to the vet. Co-ordinating adoptions, Vaccinating the animal populations. We are looking for indiviudals who can work well independently but also work well in a team environment. The candidate must live in Lethbridge due to the nature of the position. You will be responding to emergency calls of injured dogs or cats during the on call hours and therefore need to be local to respond quickly. This position is full time and we will be looking to begin training during the month of August. Pay is $14.00 to $20.00 depending on experience. Company paid Blue Cross benefits.
