Company Information

We are a group of related companies in the real estate industry. We raise capital to finance projects, and to develop and build residential condominiums. Our offices are located in downtown Toronto. We are looking for a competent and experienced bookkeeper who can handle day to day transactions for multiple entities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Daily:

  • Accounts Payable – entering in Quickbooks, filing invoices, paying invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals
  • Entering cheques and deposits related to inter-company transactions
  • Daily banking
  • General bookkeeping duties (maintaining ledgers, filings, etc)

As Required:

  • Prepare payroll entries, remittances, and WSIB
  • Process HST returns and reconcile HST accounts in Quickbooks
  • Reconcile multiple bank accounts and multiple inter-company accounts
  • Reconcile credit card charges and post inter-company charges
  • Ensure all manual journal entries are documented, posted properly and filed in audit folders
  • Process any requests for reports

Qualifications

  • Two years experience in accounting role
  • Highly proficient in Quickbooks or similar accounting system
  • Must have excellent spreadsheet capabilities
  • Well organized and independent

Salary

  • $45K plus benefits and annual bonus opportunity
