Job Requirements
Personal Support Workers must have certification in their respective field
Nanny’s and Mother's Helpers must have ECE training and/or childcare experience.
Home-makers and companion caregivers must have experience.
Everyone must be committed to the best care possible.
Caregivers in each category are required to have a minimum of one year experience
All employees must have

  • must be between the ages of 18 and 101
  • current CPR and First Aid certification
  • current and valid Vulnerable Sector and Police Criminal Reference check
  • proof of medical immunization against TB and Hepatitis B
  • 2 business references and one personal reference

Registration with pswregistry.com, life experience, additional languages, love of pets, flexibility, and Driver’s License and insured vehicle are assets, but not required.

Service
We provide free, in home Assessment Interviews which give us a clear picture of our clients lifestyle and personality. We match caregivers to the specific needs of client, and we personally introduce the caregiver.

Caregiver Selection
We carefully match our caregivers to the specific needs and personality of a client, and personally introduce the caregiver to the client and family member – a unique difference. We have caregivers who speak a variety of languages and come from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

Communication
We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We communicate with the client's team of health professionals and family as needed.

Peace of Mind
Our caregivers are carefully screened, selected, bonded and insured. We provide extensive reference, criminal background check, vulnerable sector and Driver Motor Vehicle checks on each caregiver.

Community Involvement
We are highly involved in the community and act as a valuable resource for families, social workers and health professionals.

We specialize in Alzheimer, Dementia & Live-In Care.
Our personalized services are available for a minimum of three hours a visit to 24-hour and Live-In care. You can combine any of the services to suit your unique needs. We provide Personal Support Workers (PSWs), Respite, Palliative and Companionship care. VAC Health Identification Cards Accepted.

The Hiring Process
Once we receive and review your application

  • Applicants whose qualifications meet our standards will be contacted, please note we do not contact everyone that has applied
  • Potential Premier PSW’s and caregivers, will go through a telephone screening and thorough reference checks and verification of experience, credentials, resume, background , etc
  • Applicants are then personally interviewed
  • Successful applicants will then offered employment and will undergo a two stage orientation process, with Orientation One being approximately two hours where you will receive additional training, orientation, our employee handbook and company procedures
  • Between three and six weeks employees will go through Orientation Two, which will provide further training and education and receive a certificate of accreditation, as well as additional training in specialized roles like Alzheimer’s/Dementia, Active Minds and other programs.

Ongoing Training
Premier Homecare Services provides ongoing professional training throughout your employment, as well as monthly informational newsletters, recognition of quarterly and annual Caregivers and acknowledging financially and pier wise with those who are exceptional, dedicated and the very best in their field.

Our Services
Hourly Care
Our caregivers are available for a minimum of three hours a visit, whenever you choose. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide services. The schedule is the same each week, with certain exceptions.

Overnight Care
We can provide either awake and alert or sleep-in caregiving services. This may allow the primary caregiver a restful sleep or peace of mind for the family. Caregiver may be woken during the night if assistance is needed.

Live-In Care
The caregiver lives in the house and assists or takes care of all of the required responsibilities needed for daily independent living. This ensures proper and compassionate care 24 hours a day.

24 Hour Care
The caregiver is awake and alert at all times for assistance. This requires two caregivers per 24 hour period.

Palliative (End of Life) Care
Our caregivers can assist with companionship and loving non-medical care through the final transitions.

Respite Care
When the primary caregiver needs assistance or a break, we can help. We can schedule consistent weekly visits or provide care during vacations.
