For over 30 years, the Cabbagetown Community Arts Centre (CCAC) has provided thousands of children with quality music and art instruction in the St. Jamestown/Regent Park area. Because of our affordable rates many children are able to take lessons they would otherwise not be able to afford. In order to mantain these reduced rates we depend upon donations and fundraisers to cover operating costs. For more information see www.cabbagetownarts.org

Our Cause
Education of arts and music plays a vital role in the lives of children. Our founding principle is to provide a nurturing environment for the artist inside every student. We further seek to enrich the lives of children by providing them with arts and music lessons focused on building character, discipline and dedication, skills which go on to positively shape our students’ future endeavors.

What we need:

To ameliorate our fiscal situation we are planning a major fundraiser. “Art of the Sizzle” will consist of a lighthearted roast of politicians of all stripes by comedians and celebrities. It will be hosted by Steven Paikin and will include some big named politicians such as Bob Rae and Glen Murray.

  • Experience in fundraising and event promotion
  • Contacts with corporations and philanthropists
  • Associations with individuals who would be interested in attending the aforementioned fundraiser.
  • Strong social media skills
  • Experience in ticket sales
  • Experience in event organization

If you are interested please contact Daniel Anstett.
