JOB PURPOSE:

Cleans and sanitizes items according to company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards.

SCOPE:
Performs routine duties in the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and bathrooms under close supervision while following hotel standards, policies and procedures. Ensures all areas, for which is responsible, are maintained in a state of cleanliness.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cleans and services assigned guest rooms in a timely and organized manner according to procedures and standards.
  • Makes beds, changing linens, each and every day.
  • Dusts the room and furniture.
  • Replenishes guest supplies in room.
  • Cleans bathroom and replenishes all bathroom supplies.
  • Cleans the closet and replenishes all missing supplies.
  • All amenities and collateral are in place in the room and in the correct place.
  • Vacuums the carpet thoroughly.
  • Checks the dresser drawers of check out rooms for any property left behind.
  • Turns off all lights, and adjusts temperature as required.
  • Closes the room door ensures that it is secured.
  • Maintains the housekeeping cart assigned, replenishing any items as required.
  • Notifies supervisor when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied. Reports any room unable to be serviced by 2:00 pm to supervisor according to policy.
  • Reports needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Responds to housekeeping requests from guests or management in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Keeps linen room locked and linen cart neat and organized according top standards.
  • Reports lost and found articles to supervisor.
  • All amenities and collateral are in place in the room and in the correct place.
  • Follows training when using equipment. Takes care not to damage or abuse the equipment.
  • Performs side duties as scheduled.
  • Returns cart to storeroom at end of day, returns key and worksheet and signs out.
  • Interacts courteously with guests.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
