Located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Form: Media is an Atlantic Canadian firm featuring a positive and supportive studio environment in a culturally vibrant and beautiful part of the country. We specialize in interpretive planning and design as well as environmental signage, wayfinding, and digital multimedia. Form: Media is composed of planners, exhibit, structural and interior designers, graphic designers and researcher/writers who collectively have a wealth of knowledge and are committed to providing a high level of professional services for clients in Atlantic Canada and across the country.
Form: Media has an opening for a mid-to-senior web/multimedia designer. Work will range from a conceptual level through to production and launch of working applications (web sites, information kiosks, educational interactives), and demands a highly creative, dynamic and visually sophisticated development and production mind-set.
Applicants should have proven experience in conceptualization, development and implementation of digital multimedia work, including web site design and management using the latest software tools (HTML 5, Dreamweaver, PHP/MySQL, Java, After Effects), touchscreen interactive (Director, Flash), mobile applications, and social media initiatives. Applicants must have a portfolio of recent work showcasing the skills mentioned and a Higher Education degree or relevant work experience of an equitable time span.
The position demands the ability to be involved in ongoing multimedia-digital media contracts including the planning, conceptual, design development, client relations, and production. Strong organizational and visualization skills are must. Web database skills are a strong asset, along with an easygoing attitude, inclination for lifelong learning and proactive work ethic. Candidates should have a grounding in Web Content Management platforms and experience managing Websites. A minimum of 3 years experience is required.
The position is full-time and requires residence in Halifax /Dartmouth or area. No contractors or telecommute arrangements. Applicants must possess the ability and willingness to travel if required, and must be eligible for a NS drivers license.
