SUMMARY:

The conveyancing assistant plays a pivotal role in assisting our notary practice and the conveyancing process from inception to completion. This particular placement requires someone with a strong background in residential conveyancing that can start with immediate effect to support an increase in workload. This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, motivated and very detailed individual.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Responsibilities for all aspects of real property conveyancing files
-Mortgage preparation and vendors interests
-Familiarity with electronic filing
-Experience with current conveyancing software
-Experience with PC law accounting software

REQUIRED SKILLS:

-Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and cooperate with others
-3-5 years experience in the industry
-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
-Knowledge of Econvey Prosuite and PC law software an asset
-Ability to work as a part of a team
-Ability to apply judgment to the applications of policies and procedures
-Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet tight deadlines
-High level of technical writing skills
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

-3-5 years experience in the industry
-Diploma or Graduate of legal assist program (not required but beneficial)
