Showroom Flooring Sales Specialist

Beyond Tile and Stone is a retail showroom with an 8000 square foot modern space showcasing some of the finest porcelains offered in the city of Toronto. We strive to offer high quality, high fashion tiles to customers in the city’s “Designer Décor” district. Approaching a decade in business, our company has experienced a rapid growth path and is looking for a fresh energetic sales person to grow with the company.
Job Description -Responsibilities

  • The flooring sales specialist must provide the highest level of customer service and support to customers where substantial flooring product expertise and advanced selling skills is critical to success
  • Providing a tour of the showroom while pointing out features and available options
  • Offering excellent customer service and assistance to browsing customers
  • Assisting with colour selections, identifying customer needs in style and individual requirements and answering design related questions
  • Processing paperwork and accepting payments
  • Utilizing product catalogues, samples from our library for customer presentations and design concepts – while maintaining the library of product catalogues and samples
  • Professional follow up emails and phone calls to close sale cycles and to follow up with closed sales and open quotes
  • Maintaining a clean well organized desk/workspace
  • Continually maintain the cleanliness and appeal of showroom
  • Labeling new products displayed in showroom with product codes/names/pricing

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Experience in Flooring products or closely related field is an asset
  • Sales results focused
  • Customer Driven
  • Interest and flair in colour and designs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiar with basic Accounting software (QuickBooks) is an asset
  • A skilled communicator both verbally and written
  • Ability to work individually or as a team in a fast paced environment
  • Enthusiastic, positive inspiring energy
  • Availability must be Monday – Friday 9am - 5pm, Saturday work is a must (flexibility is offered during the week)

Education and Experience

  • Completion of a diploma or degree in a business or marketing program is an asset
  • Completion of a diploma or degree in a design or architecture program is also an asset
  • Minimum of 2 years in a customer service role
