Our client, a dynamic service organization, is seeking an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer to oversee all accounting and finance functions for their head office in Truro . This is a contract opportunity for approximately 2-3 months.

Committed to immersing yourself into an organization and utilizing an entrepreneurial spirit, you will lead the organization’s financial reporting, financial planning, procurement and corporate governance and compliance activities. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and working closely with a team of highly motivated, committed individuals, primary responsibilities include:

• Contributing to the organization’s strategic direction and growth
• Managing financial accounting and reporting
• Managing risk and developing processes, structures and systems
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Corporate governance and compliance
• Other accounting, finance and special project responsibilities as required

The ideal candidate will possess a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) and ten plus years’ senior management experience. This role requires an energetic, multi-talented leader with a competitive nature and a strong team focus. Your track record and accomplishments reflect your advanced communication, interpersonal and problem resolution skills. Initiative, adaptability and comfort in a “hands on” role are also required for this challenging role. This opportunity will appeal to an individual with the desire to take ownership and play a critical role on the senior management team.
