Basic purpose: To provide general support in the analysis of samples, and to perform simple sample preparation. Responsibilities:
- G eneral lab support including washing glassware, archiving samples, weighing, homogenizing, etc.
- Under the guidance of supervisor or team leader;
- Perform simple sample preparation and manipulation procedures prior to analyses;
- Ensure that cross contamination between samples and other materials does not occur;
- Use summary reports to plan and organize work;
- Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations;
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure accuracy and quality of work;
- Keep their work area clean, neat and organized; Other responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor or team leader; Skills and Know-how:
- High School Diploma.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good record keeping skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately follow Standard operating Procedures (SOP’s) and instructions
- Dynamic, energetic, motivated, positive outlook, and a "can-do" attitude.
