Reporting to the Manager – Project Services, Project Management Office (PMO), the Business Systems Administrator will facilitate the management and maintenance of the Information Systems specific to the PMO. The role will directly support the activities of the Senior Business Systems Specialist and the annualized plans / budgets for the business unit. Overall the role will be focused on administration and minor configuration, ensuring all project delivery resources are appropriately supported. The Business Systems Administrator will respect the corporate information technology standards, processes, and quality control, working seamlessly with shared service teams in a matrix organization. Because of the broad portfolio associated with this role, preference will be given to those candidates that have a fluent business understanding of Capital Project Execution, and the supporting technology required to ensure collective success. Previous experience in EPC and/or Regulatory environments pertaining to electrical transmission is preferred.
Overall accountability for the administration of access, account management, security, and minor configuration activities associated with PMO specific application toolset.
Provide one-on-one end-user support and problem resolution pertaining to the functional use of electronic tools.
Ensure client expectations are proactively managed through timely, open and honest communication with the business.
Work closely with the Senior Business Systems Specialist, ensuring annualized plans and budgets are met.
Participate in PMO and corporate wide technology initiatives to streamline processes, rationalize computer systems, and centralize information vital to the PMO.
Monitor and participate in moves, adds, and changes to systems access for new, departing, or transitioned employees.
Use IT ticket entries to establish trends and issues in order to conduct proactive maintenance and/or issue resolution.
Prioritize and accurately log IT tickets and resolutions, maintaining vigilant maintenance of this process.
Attend and/or conduct training sessions for end users, as required.
Always maintain a high degree of professionalism, courteousness, and friendliness.
Continuously improve the level of service of the business function, recommending and stewarding enhancements to business processes and/or systems.
Post secondary education focused in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
3 plus years of direct work experience in a help desk support capacity.
Direct experience in the utilization and function of Remedy, Sharepoint, Document Management Systems (DMS), SAP, and Primavera.
Strong technical knowledge of databases specifically in SQL, and in working with database administration personnel.
Strong technical aptitude and experience in the management of user accounts, security, and Active Directory.
Able to quickly analyze issues and determine best course of action using available resources.
Sound judgment to escalate issues to senior members within the PMO organization when required.
Excellent written, oral, and telephone communication skills.
Knowledge of computer workstation setup primarily in a Windows 7 environmen.t
Exceptional multi-tasking abilities and prioritization skills.
Proven track record of good attendance and performance.
