Our Radio Systems Office is seeking a Senior Radio Equipment Officer
to manage, coordinate and administer all the radio systems related maintenance and support services.
As a Senior Radio Equipment Officer, you will be responsible for:
Managing administration support and maintenance of radio communications systems / services
Researching, evaluating, documenting
and recommending alternative technological approaches, options, and solutions to radio communications problems
Undertaking technical and training projects in support of the maintenance of the voice/data radio communications infrastructure / services.
Developing, administering and coordinating the delivery of user training as it relates to radio communications.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of radio communications systems technology as well as data and telecommunications normally obtained by a four (4) year degree
program in Electrical / electronics Engineering / Technology, Communications Technology, or an equivalent or higher combination of education and related experience.
Minimum six (6) years’ experience in the communications field, with demonstrated staff supervision, equipment troubleshooting, administration and systems support skills in the support and delivery of radio communications, telecommunications, data networking and wireless communications systems.
Including:

Extensive knowledge of design and maintenance of Motorola radio systems and equipment with particular emphasis of trunked analogue and digital radio systems.

Good knowledge of radio propagation testing and analysis
·
Very good working knowledge of specialized RF testing and measuring equipment such as service monitors, spectrum analyzers, TDR equipment, etc.
·
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills as well as attention to detail.
·
Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
·
Thorough knowledge of applicable legislation and codes affecting the public, employees, contractors and facilities with respect to health, safety and the environment.
·
Ability to obtain job related certifications as required.
Must be capable of working independently and meet critical project deadlines. Must successfully complete any other training required by corporate policy.
