QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN - Temp to Perm
Summary
The position is with a large International Pharmaceutical Company. It offers the potential for advancement and full benefits once it becomes permanent.
Responsible to generate accurate results while following GMP requirements. Responsible for analyzing dosage and/or raw material samples and process validation and optimization samples, using various chemical and instrumental techniques, in accordance with established compendial and in-house testing methods, while under minimum supervision.
Responsibilities
Perform analysis of raw material, in-process and finished products, purified water, cleaning validation and stability samples using analytical instruments and established analytical procedures and techniques
Recognizes OOS or out of trend results and under the direction of the Supervisor completes lab investigations.
Performs general maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, according to the department's established calibration program.
Provides technical troubleshooting support or training to other team members where appropriate.
Ensures that all work is performed in compliance with GMPs, GLPs, SOPs and established regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
B.Sc. from a recognized educational institution in Chemistry or a related field and a minimum of 1 year relevant experience in a pharma lab environment OR Community College diploma in a related field and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the analysis of pharma products.
Knowledge of Excel, Word, other Microsoft Office Programs and laboratory software packages.
Sound working and theoretical knowledge of automated laboratory instrumentation.
Wet chemistry and content uniformity testing.
Dissolution experience is an asset.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Knowledge of GMP/GLP.
