Our client, an industry leader in Cambridge has an opening for CAD Designers for their Cambridge location.

CAD Detailer (Inventor/AutoCAD)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Reporting directly to the Project Engineering Supervisor, the CAD Designer is responsible to perform design/ detailing activities during the contract process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce assembly and detail drawings
• Prepare layout and arrangement drawings
• Prepare design calculations as assigned by the Senior CAD Designer or Project Engineer
• Ensure standard design and drawing procedures are adhered to
• Prepare module, module components and piping layouts
• Prepare ducting components and arrangement drawings
• Ensure drawing quality and accuracy
• Perform additional assignments per Project Engineering Supervisor’s direction

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering Technology or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Experience in Industrial drawings/drafting (weldments, etc)
• Minimum of three (3) years AutoCAD experience
• Minimum of one (1) year Autodesk Inventor experience
• Candidates will be tested on AutoCAD and Inventor
• General knowledge of GD&T
