Our government client is seeking a Human Resources - Compensation - Senior Level
Language: Bilingual
Security Clearance: Enhanced-Reliability
Location: Ottawa, Ontario
Duration: December 1, 2012 - November 1, 2013
Requirements/Skills Needed:
Education
Successful completion of secondary school education or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
Experience
Experience in the interpretation and applications of applicable compensation and benefits acts, legislation, regulations, rules and procedures
Experience in the use of a variety of compensation software programs and tools such as AVIVA, People Soft, Compensation Web Application, Virtual Pay site, and the PWGSC on-line pay system
Experience in the verification of pay transactions
Knowledge
Knowledge of the different acts and regulations, collective agreements, terms and conditions of employment, as well as policies and procedures relevant to Compensation
Knowledge of the different manuals and web site relevant to Compensation
Knowledge of the Central agencies such as the Treasury Board, Public Service Commission, PWGSC as well as their roles and liaison for operations
Ability
Ability to counsel and provide advice to clients and/or their representatives on the different options available to them in various situations and on sensitive issues
Ability to set and adjust priorities and manage workload
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
