Reporting to the Manager of Radio Network Engineering this position focuses primarily on the back office nodes required for the operation of EastLink’s Radio Access Network, including the Radio Network Controller (RNC) and elements required for our LTE network.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- TNDCIQ file creation and verification.
- Site integration in RNC/OSS.
- Daily top offender site monitoring and resolution.
- Troubleshooting, alarm resolution and trouble ticket response.
- RNC operational support.
- Act as OSS-RC Functional subject matter expert for the Radio Network Engineering team.
- Network change script creation.
- Interfacing with equipment vendor for support, trouble ticket management and service level agreement compliance.
- WRAN/LTE feature research, evaluation, recommendation, selection and lab network trailing.
- WRAN/LTE feature activations working with cross departmental teams such as Core and VAS.
- WRAN/LTE acceptance test planning and testing.
- RNC/LTE baseline creations and updates.
- RNC/LTE Software maintenance and upgrades.
- RNC/LTE HW/SW capacity monitoring and planning and justifications.
As the successful candidate you have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering coupled with a minimum of 7 years experience with wireless access networks or an acceptable equivalent. You have extensive experience working with Ericsson UMTS/HSPA/LTE networks and have experience in new feature testing in both lab and production environments along with experience monitoring, optimizing and troubleshooting RNC and HSPA/LTE transport. Experience managing IP network parameters, knowledge of network design fundamentals and practical knowledge of cellular network traffic analysis is also required. You must also possess a valid provincial driver’s license for this position.
