Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Speak French, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Nursing home, Retirement home
Area of Instruction: Arts and crafts, Dance or movement, Fitness, Music
Type of Clients: Seniors, Persons with physical disabilities, Persons with mental health disabilities
Area of Functional Expertise: Accreditation or certification, Program planning and development, Program implementation and delivery, Program evaluation, Geriatric Recreation (Kincare, Eden Alternative, Gentlecare)
Specific Skills: Design, develop and deliver social/recreational programs, Coordinate special events such as tournaments and banquets
Additional Skills: Supervise professional staff, program leaders and instructors and volunteer staff, Answer requests, inquiries and complaints, Perform administrative tasks, Use computer applications
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driver's validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract), Tuberculosis test
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Physically demanding
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence
Work Location Information: Urban area
Ability to Supervise: 16-20 people
