Our Station Operations East Office is seeking a Part-Time Station Attendant II to

play a critical role by establishing the tone for the entire customer service experience as GO Transit’s first point of contact with most passengers

.

Selling tickets to GO Transit passengers using cash, credit, and debit methods of payment, and maintaining related records, tickets, and cash float.

Responding to questions and providing advice about routes, schedules, and other services and programs that GO Transit offers.

Maintaining records of service delays, and reporting various incidents and equipment failures.

Carrying out general janitorial services including the washing of windows, tunnel enclosures, shelters, and platforms.

Cleaning grounds for litter; replenishing supplies, conducting garbage and waste removal or separation, including removing light snow, ice and salt.

Polishing/waxing/vacuuming/dusting/disinfecting and washing, using basic materials, tools and equipment.

This

floater position

will involve working

a five-day weekly schedule at various locations in the east region, with variable shifts including week nights, weekends and holidays

A personal vehicle is required for travel within the GO Transit operating area.

Location:
Guildwood GO Station

Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 10 or equivalent.

Six (6) months experience either in cash handling, or janitorial services and dealing with the direct public.

Good oral and written communications skills and the ability to deal courteously with the public.

Ability to read and understand tariffs, manuals, and schedules.

Ability to learn and operate computers and other electronic equipment.

Understanding the safe handling of cleaning chemicals tools and equipment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain First Aid Certification.

Must successfully complete, safety, environmental, and any other training required by corporate policy
