The Challenge

Exp's Hamilton office is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Geotechnical & Materials Testing team. Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, the successful candidate will provide services in the areas of soils, asphalt, and concrete lab testing.

Principle Areas of Responsibility

Laboratory testing of concrete in accordance with CSA standards

Laboratory testing on Aggregates including full Physical Testing

Laboratory testing of soils (proctor, sieve analysis, hydrometer, and Atterberg Limits)

Other duties as assigned

The Skills, Knowledge and Abilities We Seek

Minimum of one (1) year experience working for an engineering consultant in a Laboratory technician role

Good working knowledge of soils laboratory testing

Ability and willingness to work with a team in the laboratory

Oral and written English communication skills

Degree / Diploma in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological Engineering is an asset

Type B Asphalt Certification is an asset

Superpave Certification is an asset

Valid CSA certification is an asset
