Monarch Industries is a privately owned company that was founded in 1935. Monarch is a vertically integrated manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders and custom iron castings. These products are marketed throughout North America into the retail, agricultural, industrial and original equipment manufacturer markets.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Update offshore purchase orders with updates from vendors.
Enter purchase orders into CMS as directed.
Review and resolve shortages. Expand shortage review to include forecasts in addition to actual orders.
Provide assistance in obtaining CARs for quality issues, taking pictures of defective parts, updating NCMR database and providing disposition for affected parts.
Track offshore sample progress, sample shipments, progress through QA department, communication of results with vendors and set up in CMS.
Assist in calculating safety stock levels and updating CMS.
Calculate offshore seal, chrome and paint requirements and coordinating shipments and shipment documentation.
Assisting in generating RFQs for new parts.
Review pricing discrepancies on invoices and assist in resolution.
Update pricing in CMS as needed.
Tracking and coordination of air shipments from vendors.
Generate documentation for offshore assembly facility and facilitate communication of drawing changes and RFQs.
Review monthly inventory reports from offshore assembly facility and initiate deductions for Monarch inventory consumption.
Generate scorecards for suppliers.
Education Required:
Post-secondary education in a related field.
Skills and Experience Required:
High data entry accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
Ability to read, interpret and make calculations based on MRP.
Understanding of part costing for both in-house, offshore and local options. This requires mathematical and reasoning skills.
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
