A Rendering Software Engineer works closely with our existing rendering and core systems team who are responsible for rendering on platforms including Xbox360, PS3, and PC. In this capacity you will have the opportunity to shape Capcom Vancouver's rendering technology and create best of breed visuals for amazing action titles.
WHAT YOU WOULD DO:
Develop new features and core systems for our cross-platform, multi-title rendering and game engine, data pipeline and artist tools.
Work with artists, designers, and other engineers to ensure rendering features are well designed and implemented to specification.
Participate in project planning and scheduling within the rendering area.
WHAT YOU NEED:
We will consider junior applicants for this role!
3+ years experience in Rendering with C++ programming and debugging. Game console development and optimization experience is preferred.
Have shipped at least one product.
Strong understanding of university-level computer graphics programming, data structures and related mathematics.
Experience with DirectX or OpenGL.
Superior problem solving and analytical skills.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Able to communicate with both technical and creative team members face-to-face and in writing.
Bachelor's degree in computer science / related field, or equivalent experience.
WHAT WOULD BE COOL:
Strong understanding of core technologies such as memory management, threading models, load time optimizations, etc.
Salary based on skills and experience $75,000 - $120,000
