We have an immediate opening for a District General Manager in our Saskatoon
office.
Position Summary:
The District General Manager carries out the mission, plans and initiatives
established by the Senior Management Team in order to achieve the goals and
objectives of FirstOnSite’s strategic plan. The DGM provides the overall
leadership, motivation and management, at the district level, to positively
impact Branch Operations, Estimating, Sales, Rebuild, and Administration and to
maintain adequate Gross Profit (GP) levels.
Responsibilities
Builds and manages relationships with partners, team members and customers.
Leads business development, emergency and construction activities within
their district.
Promotes a proactive sales and business development culture in their
district.
Builds, leads and deploys the team to achieve the objectives of the
corporate strategic plan.
Ensures that company health and safety policies and procedures are followed
by all personnel and sub contractors.
Works closely with the Branch Manager and Operations Management to review
branch and district resources and to share resources as required.
Develops a performance culture through a robust performance management
process that ensures all associates receive regular performance feedback and by
implementing Training and Development plans.
Delivers and supervises GP margin targets for the branches.
Ensures branches meet EBITDA targets.
Maintains Accounts Receivables (A/R) at 90 days or under.
Conducts exception invoice reviews.
Resolve customer and operational efficiencies by meeting either the standard
Key Performance Indicators (KPI) or the individual KPIs established for a
particular customer.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
3 years experience in the restoration/emergency industry.
Proven job related success in a construction management role.
IICRC or equivalent certifications an asset but will train.
Skilled at planning, directing, supervising and coordinating.
College Diploma in Business Administration or Finance or certification in a
recognized trade. Combination of relevant training courses in related fields and
relevant experience may be acceptable in lieu of the academic requirements.
