Job Summary:
This role is for an Operator Maintainer Technician (OMT) – Electrical roles for the Bow Valley power stations based out of Seebe Alberta . The role is field operator maintainer role and are vital to the operation of the power stations. The roles perform any and all field operations, routines, and maintenance required.

These roles are also expected to become "Authorized " this status which means they are responsible and capable for creating LOTO’s, isolating units and substation switching.
These positions are expected to start on June 30 2012.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
Safe field operation of the Power Stations and all ancillary equipment and components.
Routine checks and maintenance of all generating units, auxillaries and components.
Perform regular preventative and predictive maintenance checks on plant equipment.
Perform dam safety diligence checks of all structures and perform readings/measurements of all piezometers.
Interface with Internal/ External stakeholders.
Interface and work in conjunction with AltaLink Transmission, Alberta Electrical System Operator, Hydro System Control Center and Hydro Electronics Services to troubleshoot system and generating unit disturbances.
Provide 24/7 coverage in a stand-by schedule mode.
Accountable to adhere to all Hydro procedures and safe work practices.
Maintaining a base level of competence and training to perform all work safely.
Understanding and knowledge of Flood Action Plans in the event of significant inflows or structures being breached.
