Our client, Irving Shipbuilding in Halifax, Nova Scotia has just been awarded a contract worth an estimated $25 billion in work that will see them building new combat vessels for the Canadian Navy over the next 30 years. These are offshore and Arctic patrol ships, as well as destroyers and frigates to replace the current fleet. We are currently recruiting a Engineering Manager to join their team at the Halifax Shipyard.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Leading our multidisciplinary engineering team
Overall responsibility for engineering on ship construction and ship repair projects of varying size and scope.
Overseeing total integration of ships’ systems requirements.
Forming and delivering and engineering strategy to meet the needs of the most complex naval programs
Knowledge and experience of major naval engineering programs is highly desirable
Candidates must be efficient at organizing, forecasting and meeting objectives on a continuous basis.
