DISCUSSION:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Recruiter is accountable for full life cycle recruiting, working closely with the HR Business Partners and hiring managers to develop a recruitment strategy to meet staffing requirements. Identifies innovative ways to attract and retain top talent, diverse talent, and creatively and effectively builds a pipeline for future openings.
Champion conducts business in many locations in Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan and while the HR team is currently located in Calgary and Edmonton, there is flexibility as to where the Recruiter resides.

JOB DUTIES:
Consults with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to identify staffing needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications and skills needed to identify strong candidate pools for openings
Responsible for sourcing, screening, and interviewing technical and professional roles in a high-volume environment
Creatively sources potential candidates through multiple channels to include but not limited to internal databases, online internet sourcing, networking events, social media, and career fairs.
Responsible for all aspects of recruiting including competitive market research, direct sourcing, negotiating and closing candidates.
Develops and manages candidate pipelines and relationships through ongoing communications, promoting interest in positions and the organization, in order to yield qualified candidates and pools for assigned positions and minimal turnaround times to fill vacancies.
Maintains and expands client relationships by meeting service delivery goals, developing pro-active recruiting strategies, and staying in constant communication.
Assists in counseling hiring managers on staffing and recruitment policies and procedures to ensure compliance and understanding of hiring and compensation guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources, and/or related field
5+ years comprehensive recruiting experience with demonstrated experience in high-volume, technical and business recruiting;
Experience utilizing a variety of recruiting vehicles and sources such as internet recruiting, utilizing research for direct recruiting, outplacement and other innovative tools and techniques to find viable candidates.
Combination of agency and corporate experience preferred.

Understanding of recruiting principles and best practices
