STEWARD RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Ensure a clean and safe kitchen area.
Wash pots, pans and dishes. Operate an automatic dishwasher.
Sweep and wash floors of kitchen and surrounding areas.
Remove garbage from various locations in the hotel (i.e. main kitchen, staff room).
Assist in the set-up and maintenance of the staff cafeteria (Employee Heartland).
Embrace all Delta Hotels Rooms Standards and Delta Barrington’s Vision,Mission, and Core Values.
Exceed the expectations of all guests (both internal and external) through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently, and politely to all requests.
Help create a positive work environment through teamwork and cooperation with peers and team leaders.
Actively participate in monthly departmental communication meetings.
Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire Safety training, and working in a safe manner.
May be required to assist in the set-up and tear-down of scheduled off-site catering events i.e. Tall Ship Silva, Citadel Hill.
QUALIFICATIONS
:
Capable of handling a physically demanding workload, including lifting, pushing and standing for long periods of time.
Reliable and flexible to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and nights.
Previous cleaning experience is an asset.
