Bring your expertise in healthcare leadership to this temporary full-time role as a Director, Community Programmes – Client Services for the Central West Community Care Access Centre (CCAC). This position will be filled until March 31st, 2011 with the possibility of extension.
Reporting of the Senior Director – Client Services, the DIRECTOR – CLIENT SERVICES (Community Programmes) will lead Community Teams that support clients at home across the lifespan. The Director will develop and implement population-based strategies that promote independence, well being and quality of life for the clients we serve. The successful candidate will bring expert knowledge about health, community and social service resources, and school systems. We are seeking a healthcare professional with a proven commitment to quality improvement and the ability to enable a superior client experience.
Responsibilities for the Director will include:
- leading Client Service Delivery through a broad subordinate structure, planning, directing and evaluating the delivery of case management, specialty programs and services within the Community Programmes.
- managing relationships with area service providers and other stakeholders regarding the provision of client care and issues which arise.
- providing ongoing leadership and direction to a team of managers and staff in delivering quality client care.
- leading strategic, business and program planning.
- leading budget planning, resource allocation, financial monitoring and reporting for the portfolio.
- other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree with a focus in health or social services.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years at a management level.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in client-focused programs and services, and knowledge of case management.
- Demonstrated expertise in change management.
- Knowledge and understanding of the health care system.
- Knowledge of budgeting, financial monitoring and statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of contract administration and industrial relations.
- Knowledge of legislation governing health care activities.
- Knowledge of direct care/service delivery models utilized in a community setting.
- Developed analytical, critical thinking and problem solving.
- Developed project management, organization and leadership skills.
- Developed program planning, implementation and evaluation skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills – oral and written.
- Group facilitation skills.

- Masters degree in Health Administration, Business or related discipline preferred or equivalent
