Reporting to the Document Control Manager, the Document Control Analyst is responsible for handling project documents including issuance, receipt and distribution in an efficient and timely manner. The expected duration of this assignment is 18 months.
Perform tasks in accordance with the Document Control Standards, Work Processes and Desktop Procedures for Document Control
Assist in administration of the electronic document management system;
Maintain Project VAULT files (electronic & hard copy)
Execute and coordinate Project VAULT squad check for technical and administrative documents
Assist in creation of electronic documentation (scanning, PDF conversion, etc.)
Perform quality control for controlled documents, such as correct document number, revision, title
Track received documentation such as standards, reports, drawings, Final EDS’, etc. in electronic and hard copy versions
Issue and distribute created and revised controlled documents
Maintain and update distribution lists for engineering process areas, engineering disciplines and engineering contractors
Produce prints and/or photocopies as required by project personnel
Basic knowledge of EDM systems
Basic knowledge of engineering terminology and acronyms
Practical knowledge of document control principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Exceptional organizational skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Good interpersonal skills
Analytical skill and reasoning to identify underlying principles or facts associated with information or data
The ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced team environment
Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and varied workloads
VAULT Programme is derived from VAnscoy’s ULTimate Potash Mine Expansion. The fundamental goal of this project is to reach the ultimate capacity of the Vanscoy, Saskatchewan potash mine. The mega brownfield mine expansion project is expected to generate close to 80+ project-based jobs in the areas of Project Management, Construction Management and Functional Business. The construction phase of the project is expected to require more than 800 tradespersons at its peak, and approximately 3 million man-hours to complete.
