About this opportunity:
As part of Business Services for Operations Shared Services, our Mineral Fee Title/Leasing team is responsible for protecting Cenovus’s mineral fee title assets by adherance to government legislation/Acts, ensuring data integrity of records, continuously improving lease administration practices and supporting BU and other internal stakeholder initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Prepare applicable documentation associated with issuing and maintaining fee leases
Monitor upcoming fee lease expiries and receipt of rental payments
Set up and monitor obligations associated with fee lease
Work as a team member to support Fee Title priorities and objectives
Input data into land system and generate reports where applicable
Report progress of assigned tasks to Group Lead

Qualifications:
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Certificate from a Land Administration program is considered an asset
Member of CAPLA
Minimum of 5 years Land Administration experience in the Oil and Gas industry
Knowledge of Fee lands & Fee lease forms considered an asset
Possess extensive knowledge of lease forms, issuance, acquisition and maintenance
Understand mineral land administration concepts, legal rights relating to land, acquisition of land, and specialized land and petroleum terminology, land tenure systems and land survey systems
Working knowledge of LandRite or comparable land system
Understands functional relationship between contracts and leases
Has general knowledge of CAPL and PASC procedures and their relationship to the management of land
Can interpret and correctly apply all relevant government regulations and legislation
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
