Position Summary: The Paediatric Orthopaedic AIF Research Assistant will support the research work of the division of Orthopardics at the IWK Health Centre, in particular the Atlantic Innovation Fund proogram for the development of a Low-Dose Radiographic Imaging Technisques for the Assessment of Outcomes Following Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. Thsi prioject is funded by Atlantic Inoovation Fund (AIF) for a period of 5 years. The position is for 1 year with anioption to renew for the term of the project.
Responsibilities will include meeting with families to explain current studies and securing consent for participation; administering questionnaires and gathering information from research participant; maintaining databases of research information through data entry and accuracy audits; coordinating research visits with families, orthopaedics staff and collaborating staff at the IWK adn Dalhousie; set uup of equipment for study procedures when needed.
The incumbent will work independently with a modest level of supervision. Training will be made available when required.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Sciences or a health profession
Competency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Experience working with databases, preferred
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills, with written and verbal
Ability to work well independently
Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred.
