Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Analyst will demonstrate initiative and an ability to work both independently and with other functional areas of the business.
Responsibilities
Active involvement with month end and quarter end activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and quarterly reporting to parent company
Support management team in forecasting and budgeting activities
Assist with the development, analysis and communication of monthly and ad hoc financial reports to the business
Research accounting treatment for special transactions and prepare documented recommendations for management
Assist with ongoing process improvements/enhancements
Act as a resource for finance team and assist with special projects as requested
Requirements
CA is preferred designation, but CMA or CGA will be considered
University degree in Accounting, Business or Economics
Knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls an asset
Excel proficiency at an intermediate to advanced level
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize
