Our public sector client currently has a need for a Senior System Developer/Integrator or Web Developer

Role and Responsibilities

Analyze the current portal functionality and review current known functional requirements documentation and publishing processes

Implement functionalities, rules and workflows to support the various administrative roles within the system

Implement functionalities to support the general portal user experience including Theme building, accessibility, Web 2.0 Features, Facetted search, Browsing features, Geographical search, optimizations for search relevancy and workflow

Migration - Datasets stored in the current portal will need to be migrated into a new system

Implement reporting functionalities e.g, page views and download counts

Implement security procedures and processes

Produce test plans and test cases to validate functionality, this will also include bugs fixes for issues found and regression testing

Produce technical documentation and transfer knowledge to staff for all components that have been developed

Produce training material for the users of the system

Qualifications and Experience

More than two years hands-on work experience with Python and JavaScript.

Minimum of twelve months experience with PostgreSQL, JSON, Solr, Pylons Web Framework

Minimum of three months experience with WCAG 2.0
