Provides friendly and professional Customer Service, represents Company values to the public, ensures proper adherence to Company policies and maintains security in front end operations by performing the following duties:
Retail Store Associates
Provides excellent Customer Service by: Practising a 3 Metre Rule. Greeting all Customers with a warm, friendly smile. Ensuring each Customer receives a friendly, accurate and professional service. Assisting Customers with information, refunds, exchanges and directions. Working with a high sense of urgency. Providing professional services for businesses (i.e. non-profit agencies, Vendor-Partners, etc.) Always thanking Customers, by last name when known. Ensures refunds/exchanges are completed accurately through: Properly following Refund Automation procedures according to Company guidelines. Properly completing all defective slips. Maintaining sales tax exempt records. Ensuring all damaged merchandise is sent to Claims for processing. Ensuring returned merchandise is verified against refund slips prior to being returned to the sales floor. Ensuring all items are scanned correctly before being returned to the sales floor. Maintains a high level of integrity. Understands and follows the EAS program by: Ensuring that all merchandise purchased by the customer is deactivated when handling exchanges. Obtains good job knowledge by: Following all refund and exchange policies. Completing authorised charges using the approval list from the Manager. Keeping the Charge Log updated. Ordering supplies with the Manager's approval. Ensures that the key controls checklist is being followed through: Reconciling refund ticket totals to the refund total on the daily register reading. Maintaining the Stolen Log. Practices safe work habits by: Practising proper lifting techniques. Maintaining an organised work area. Keeping the area clean of all foreign objects and liquids and contacts the Day Maintenance Associate when needed. Ensuring Occupational Health and Safety Act guidelines are being followed properly. Using personal protective equipment when handling automotive batteries. Being knowledgeable about emergency and safety procedures. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
