We are seeking candidates who can work independently or in a team environment, are self-motivated, and looking for a challenge in a fast paced industry.
Based on mill priorities, the successful applicant will manage approximately 8-10 electricians and instrumentation technicians. Duties include preparation of daily equipment maintenance work schedules, troubleshooting and root cause analysis of plant process control equipment and power distribution systems, employee training programs, maintaining accurate documentation, and maintaining and improving the reliability of E/I equipment. The E/I Supervisor will also be involved in all future planning and improvement programs, experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCSs), instrumentation (pneumatic control systems, etc.) and AC/DC variable speed drives, power distribution systems and process controls used in the pulp and paper industry is a definite asset.
The ideal candidate will be an E/I Technologist, Industrial Electrician or Instrumentation Technician with previous supervisory experience or hold a degree in Engineering, with a minimum of five years experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
All applicants should have a grade 12 diploma or equivalent, possess a good safety record, and have recent Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) training and valid Standard First Aid certification.
Applicants must provide proof of all relevant qualifications and be available to participate in a pre-employment testing procedure.
Successful candidate will be required to submit a Certificate of Conduct from a local police agency or the RCMP before commencing employment.
