The following opportunity is available with the Health Solutions Business Unit: Project Manager. Candidates must be legally eligible for employment in Canada.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for managing the implementation of specific government or commercial contracts. Plans, coordinates and manages the actions taken by an organization to acquire and execute a specific piece of business, either competitively or non-competitively. Integrates all functions and activities necessary to perform the project/program to meet the client or customer requirements. Provides oversight and direction for an application development team, manages costs and schedules, ensures contract compliance, and serves as a customer interface. Frequently interacts with subordinates, task leaders, supervisors, subcontractors, support personnel, customers, and/or functional peer group managers. Interacts with senior management as required. Assesses performance of subordinates, and coaches them as needed. Responsible for building and maintaining excellent customer relationships and strategic business alliances; will work closely with the customer to understand scope, schedule and budget constraints; and seek creative solutions to expand product and market opportunities. Travel is required.
Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience working on projects/programs Extensive experience in managing IT projects Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior level personnel Knowledge of application development and general IT technical services delivery Experience with health IT and fixed-price contracts is a definite asset Project Management Professional (PMP) designation desirable Bachelors Degree.
