Territory: New Brunswick West (including Northern NB)
In this role, the incumbent's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Achieving sales and business objectives within the designated territory;
- Developing and implementing integrated action plans to promote products to physicians and other healthcare professionals and to achieve organizational goals;
- Demonstrating ownership for the business on his/her assigned territory by understanding fully the healthcare environment, assessing and identifying the key customers (Health Care Professionals) and by engaging in the right mix of activities in support of assigned product(s) while ensuring a customer focused approach, including proper documentation of each customer interactions;
- Collaborating with other Sales Representatives and working cross-functionally with Merck colleagues to consolidate plans aimed at addressing customer and organizational needs and optimizing patient management;
- Representing Merck in a complex business environment that is constantly being shaped by competitive activities, government legislation and technological developments;
- Completing his/her tasks in a manner fully consistent with Merck's program "Our Values and Standards", policies, procedures, Code of Ethical Practices (Rx&D), industry standards and all laws and regulations.
- The Sales Representative models and demonstrates the Merck Leadership behaviors in all associations with peers, internal clients and external partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven track record of sales success in the pharmaceutical industry
- Results driven, perseverant, and strong sense of entrepreneurship
- Strong customer focus and collaboration skills
- Strong Knowledge of therapeutic, competition and industry
- Strong Knowledge of industry standards, laws and regulations
- Ability to analyze, plan, implement and control (APIC)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- High level of business integrity and ethics
- Valid Driver's license
- Language: English (French would be an asset)
