The Hardlines / Softlines Associate is accountable for the maintenance of clean, tidy, well merchandised areas, with reaction to merchandising issues, planograms and adherence to the in-stock programs. Also, responsible to ensure all NSP events including non-ads, KVI’s Price Cuts etc… are properly executed. Knowledge of the customer service standards for the sales floor and the technical aspects of the checkout operations is a requirement.

Responsibilities include:
In the course of carrying out responsibilities on the sales floor, be reactionary to customer requests and needs

Full knowledge of POS Operations and customer service standards at checkouts

Responsible for the sales events execution and presentation through sales events set-up and signing

Daily flyer checks to ensure flyer boards are updated daily with current information

Completion of all training and product knowledge programs (OPAL, selling skills, etc…)

Maintenance of planograms

Provide substitution and rain check items where required

Daily restocking of merchandise

Changing of ends for merchandise presentation

Repackaging of items

Monthly set up of Hardlines or Softlines Maps

Daily housekeeping and recovery of area of ownership

Processing of merchandise returns

Front facing of items

Responsible to set up seasonal changes

Execution of recalls and defective product programs

Adherence and maintenance of the ISI program on a daily/weekly basis

To be conversant with the company’s Health and Safety program, knowledgeable and compliant to the Associate’s role in regards to health and safety

To be knowledgeable and compliant to all company and Store Loss Prevention Programs

Perform additional duties/responsibilities as assigned

This position contributes to the execution of the Zellers Strategy, including;

Driving Zellers top line growth

Sales Obsessed

Discipline junkies ( 100% execution - Done is Done)
